The H2 Check Breath Hydrogen Monitor is an easy-to-use handheld device for the simple detection of Hydrogen in breath. Suitable for simple screening of lactose or other sugars’ mal-absorption, bacterial overgrowth and the measurement of intestinal transit time.
Features and Benefits
- Combine accuracy with simplicity at an economical price.
- Fast and easy to read display of expired Hydrogen levels in ppm.
- For adults and older children, exhaling slowly through the H2 Check is all that is required to obtain a measurement.
- Can be used with face mask for patients unable to use a standard cardboard mouthpiece.
- Includes a sturdy carrying case for easy transport.
- Two ways to perform the test
- The most popular way is using the mouthpiece adapter with one-way valve and disposable cardboard mouthpiece. The patient simply takes a big deep breath, holds it for 10 seconds puts their mouth on the mouthpiece and exhales slowly and completely through the mouthpiece.
- The second way is the re-breathing method using the rebreathing valve and disposable cardboard mouthpiece. The patient places their mouth on the mouthpiece and simply breaths in and out for a certain amount of time.
